Andrei Cechin
Associate Professor in the Department of Economics

Andrei Cechin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Brasília (UnB). He teaches ecological and environmental economics and environmental policy instruments in the Environmental Sciences undergratuate program and contributes to the PhD in Political and Environmental Economics and to the Masters in Environmental Sciences Education. His current research focuses on post-growth economics, regenerative agriculture, and farmers’ adaptation to climate change. He holds a PhD in Management from Wageningen University (2013), where he studied farmer–cooperative relations, an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of São Paulo (2008), and a BA in Economics from FEA-USP (2005). He previously held a CAPES postdoctoral fellowship at UnB’s Center for Sustainable Development.
