Meet the speakers of our upcoming event

Arne Brandschwede is an advisor for climate change and agriculture at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. As a federally owned enterprise, GIZ supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. Arne advises the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on how to adapt to and mitigate climate change in agricultural and food systems with innovative tools and initiatives. These offer BMZ partner countries guidance on how they can access financing and how they can implement their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) more effectively for agricultural and food systems. Arne spent two years in Malawi, supporting smallholder farmers and small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises to adapt to the impacts of climate change. He earned his Master of Science in Climate Change from Copenhagen University, Denmark. He is located in Bonn, Germany.
