Meet the speakers of our upcoming event

Bettie Nanyonjo Luwuge is a Tanzanian Participatory Natural Resources Management specialist and Project Manager with the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG). She has extensive experience supporting rural communities in strengthening forest governance, securing forest rights, and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Bettie has been actively involved in key initiatives such as Making REDD Work for Communities and Forest Conservation in Tanzania, Transforming Tanzania’s Charcoal Sector and the Forest Rights and Livelihoods project. Her work focuses on advancing equitable natural resource management, climate-smart agriculture, and community advocacy. Through capacity building, stakeholder and engagement, and policy influence, Bettie continues to champion inclusive approaches that amplify community voices and foster climate resilience, sustainable forest conservation, and improved livelihoods across Tanzania.
