Chiwimbo P. Mwika

Chiwimbo P. Mwika is an Agriculture Specialist in the Climate and Nature Team of the Agriculture and Food Global Department of the World Bank. In her current role, she works on enhancing the climate performance of the World Bank’s Agriculture and Food operations and serves as a focal point for climate co-benefits and greenhouse gas accounting. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2021 as a Young Professional, Chiwimbo conducted participatory agro-ecological research in Malawi. Her research focus was on expanding small-holder farmer options through diverse legume rotations and intercrops in maize-based cropping systems. Chiwimbo graduated from Michigan State University with a doctorate in Crop and Soil Sciences.
