Research Fellow and Theme Lead for Equitable Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit
Dr. Elizabeth Bryan is a Research Fellow and Theme Lead for Equitable Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). Her work focuses on climate-resilient agriculture, gender equality, and natural resource management, and she has published numerous academic articles on these topics. Elizabeth leads several initiatives, including the Gender, Climate Change, and Nutrition Integration Initiative (GCAN), the Methods and Metrics portfolio under the CGIAR Gender Accelerator, and IFPRI’s work on inclusive and nutrition-sensitive small-scale irrigation, and collaborates widely across interdisciplinary teams to advance policy-relevant research in low-income countries. Before joining IFPRI, she worked for the World Bank’s Poverty Reduction Group and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences (University of Hohenheim), an MA in Development Economics (American University), and a BA in International Affairs (Wagner College).
