Meet the speakers of our upcoming event

Laurence Jassogne is the Head of Nature and Climate Solutions at Olam Agri, a global agricultural commodity trading company. Laurence has more than 20 yearexperience in the agricultural sector. She holds a PhD in soil science from the University of Western Australia. After her PhD, she moved to Uganda where she worked with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. Her research included topics such as scaling climate smart solutions in smallholder agricultural supply chains. During her work, she became convinced that private sector can be a catalyst for change. That is why she decided to leave the CGIAR at the end of 2018 to start an MBA. In 2020,she moved to Singapore together with her family. There she got the opportunity to start as a technical lead in the Environmental Trading Business and in the Nature-based Solutions business at Shell. These businesses invested in projects that supply carboncredits. Since 2024, she joined Olam Agri where she supports the businesses in scaling climate and nature positive solutions. She is now based in the Netherlands.
