Luis Rangel
Federal Inspector for Agriculture and Senior Expert for Sustainable Agriculture
Luis Rangel holds a degree in Agronomy from the University of Brasília (UnB), a Master’s in Agricultural Sciences, and specializations in Plant Protection and Agribusiness. He brings decades of experience at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA), where he has held key leadership roles, including Secretary of Plant and Animal Health and Director of Economic Analysis and Public Policies.
He currently serves as a Senior Expert for Sustainable Agriculture at the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and is a member of the national steering groups for Brazil’s Emissions Trading System (ETS) and the development of its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
