PhD in Economics from the University of Brasília. Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Brasília. Researcher at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) between 1998 and 2002. He has conducted research and/or consulting work with the Central Bank, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, IPEA, National Confederation of Industry (CNI), and Brazilian Hospital Services Company (Ebserh). Areas of research: economic growth, business cycles, public sector economics.
