Meet the speakers of our upcoming event

Sharvari Bidaye is a master’s student in Agriculture and Development at the University of Reading, UK. Her research, in association with Waitrose & Partners, explores the feasibility of regenerative agriculture and ways to overcome barriers to adoption.

Sharvari’s academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance, which shaped her analytical approach to agricultural systems, linking sustainability with economic viability. She is the recipient of the prestigious Felix Scholarship and has presented her research on agri-policy payments at the UK’s National Farmers’ Union headquarters Her interests extend beyond academia into hands-on farming; she founded Shar’s Microgreens, a small scale enterprise promoting the use of nutritious microgreens in the Indian diet. She is passionate about bridging science, policy, and practice to support farmers in transitioning towards climate-resilient food systems.

Sharvari’s research interests include agricultural and environmental investment models across the world. Her long-term vision is to establish a regenerative, sustainable model farm in India that serves as both a production site and a living laboratory for innovation. By leading by example, she aims to consult and collaborate with farmers in both developing and developed countries, designing profitable, climate resilient systems that enhance ecosystem services while uplifting farmer incomes.
