His work focuses on climate resilience at the intersection of agriculture, environment, and society, with expertise spanning climate risk management, agri food systems, pastoralism, digital innovation, and climate-smart agriculture and finance. He has played a key role in advancing climate change adaptation and knowledge management through project leadership, innovation, and policy engagement, including contributions to planned relocation strategies and government dialogues. A prolific contributor to the global discourse, he has published tools, methodologies, policy briefs, book chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles, underpinned by a strong academic background in agriculture research for development and climate change.
Sintayehu holds dual BSc degrees in Computer Science and Rural Development from universities in Ethiopia, an MSc in Ecosystem Science and Management from Texas A&M University (USA), and a PhD in Climate Change and Adaptation from the University of Nairobi.
